BEN JACKLET is an award-winning journalist and solar consultant, and author of the newly published book Follow the Sun: Around the World in Search of Solar Solutions. He has worked as a writer and editor for The Enterprise, The Stranger, The Portland Tribune, Oregon Business Magazine, and other publications. He served as editor and publisher of the Mount Hood website Shred Hood and edited 11,239: A Skiing and Snowboarding Guide from the Summit of Mount Hood.

Jacklet returned to school to earn his MBA and Sustainability Certificate from Portland State University in 2016 and shifted into the renewable energy industry shortly after graduating. He currently works as a solar consultant for Elemental Energy in Portland, Oregon.

Ben lives with his family in Portland, where he is an avid skier and hiker, a diehard pickup basketball player, and a devoted family man with three children and a grandson.
